Week 1 - Foundations (Oct. 6-9)

By Friday: a reviewed, portfolio ready drawing set so you have something to show clients or an employer, and be prepped for the exam.
Every single lesson is based on the Autodesk Certified Professional objectives. This means that once you finish you know what's in the exam, and know where you will stand. We run a practice exam together in Week 4.

FAQ's
Q: How is this different from the self-paced course?
A: The self-paced course gives you a full curriculum to work through on your own time - and it's yours to keep either way. The live cohort takes it further: we go deeper into real, more advanced project work, and you get what self-paced can't give you - live feedback on your actual drawings, your frustrations fixed on the spot, a deadline, and a room finishing alongside you. It's built to get you across the finish line and job-ready on a set timeline, with me in the room.
Q: What's the time commitment?
A: 4 evening sessions per week for 4 weeks - 16 live sessions. Each runs for about 2 hours from 7-9PM ET, plus you do your practice projects between sessions. We start October 6th, and our final session will be October 30th! If questions arise ask in the community space!
Q: What if I miss a session?
A: Every session is recorded and yours to keep forever - catch up anytime, and ask questions about a lesson if need be to catch up!
Q: I'm in the UK / Europe / Australia - can I join?
A: You're welcome to, as long as the 7-9PM ET live sessions work for your schedule. If the timing doesn't line up, the self-paced course is probably the better fit - you learn at your own pace and can rewatch anytime, which works better across time zones.
Q: I'm not in Europe, Australia, or North America - can I join?
A: See above. The live sessions run Tuesday - Friday and run from 7-9PM ET. If that's the middle of the night where you are, self-paced is the better fit.
Q: Do I need to know AutoCAD already?
A: No - we start from zero and work our way to complex advanced projects. However we will spend only 2-3 sessions on the basics before moving on. The rest of the program deals with projects and advanced functions. Any questions will be answered so don't worry!
Q: How does payment work?
A: $498 reserves your seat now; the $999 remaining balance is charged as $499 at 30 and 60 days respectively.
Q: What do I need to have ready?
A: A computer that runs AutoCAD and a copy of AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT installed before October 6th. Autodesk offers a 15 day free trial of both AutoCAD & AutoCAD LT, for a total of 30 days. Instructions on setup for the above will be sent before the cohort begins!
